Mount Gravatt locals are being reminded to stay alert after the latest suburb crime figures showed 526 offences were recorded over the past year.
The largest category was other theft (excluding unlawful entry), with 250 offences. That was followed by drug offences (55), traffic and related offences (45) and other property damage (32). The figures also show 27 assaults, 24 unlawful entry offences, 23 unlawful use of motor vehicles and 22 good order offences.
Daytime recorded the highest total
The time-of-day chart shows 6am to 2pm as the busiest period, with 212 offences. The 2pm to 10pm period recorded 180 offences, while the overnight 10pm to 6am period recorded 134.
The day-of-week chart shows Sunday with the highest total, followed by Saturday and then the middle of the week. The monthly chart shows a rise in August and September, a softer run through summer and autumn, and another lift later in the year.

Crime Stoppers issues money-trap warning
The Mount Gravatt data comes as Crime Stoppers Queensland is warning people about organised crime “money traps”.
In a media release dated 23 July 2026, the group said criminals are using fake job offers, social media messages and promises of easy money to recruit people into moving criminal funds. Crime Stoppers Queensland CEO David Hansen said these approaches can look genuine, which is why people should be cautious.
The warning signs include unsolicited job offers, requests to receive or transfer money through a personal bank account, requests to share banking details or allow someone else to use an account, and pressure to act quickly or keep the arrangement secret.
The campaign has a particular focus on international students and temporary visa holders, but Crime Stoppers says the message applies to everyone.
